Detail of 1940's home interior. Black-and-white pigment print on archival paper.
The interior wall of a 1940’s home in Memphis showing how availbale materials at the time dictated the construction of a home. Cement blocks next to brick, cut stone next to wood, the combinations were endless, creative and fascinating. A history lesson can be learned by viewing older homes and seeing the ways that builders used their resources and ingenuity to build homes that have lasted well beyond expectations. Photographed on black-and-white film with a vintage half-frame camera.
